Green Fields

Our project has been at Glastonbury festival since 1997 and it’s always been a part of the Green Fields area.

This year we’ve relocated uphill but still within the Green Fields, between the stone circle & The Park.

The Green Fields is big ..60 acres.. & contains the Green Kids area, Green Futures, Peace Garden, Greenpeace, Healing Field, Green Crafts, Croissant Neuf, the Tipi Field, the stone circle, and us.

We really appreciate being a part of this truly amazing part of Glastonbury..

Liz Eliot has been the co-ordinator of the Green Fields for 23 years! And she’s been (among others in her team) …BRILLIANT.

every summer when farmer michael says ‘yes’, the small-but-perfectly-formed elemental tent rises from the mud in a little patch of somerset, england. a soiled but sparkly-eyed team of mavericks gather together & build a place of warmth, fuzziness, welcome, discovery, faith & forgetfulness. as well as making you tea, putting on a record, joining in a late night discussion or massaging your shoulders, these holy joes coyly show/hide their fragile beliefs & personal stories. they occasionally listen to yours too & are known to be ‘ok’ people (but-could-try-harder-though) when back in their homes towns.
